Credits (CFU / ECTS) 4.0
Semester Second Semester
Course Description In the first sessions, the course will focus on the artistic lexicon, that is, on the meaning of terms such as aesthetics, poetics, theory, criticism, and history of art, showing their genesis, development, and fortune as well as the effectiveness of their persistence in the cultural environment. The lessons will then focus on the birth of criticism in the eighteenth century and on the meanings of Architecture and Art, dealing with themes of beauty, functionality, language, style, temporality, creation. Then the attention will focus on the contemporary word describing theoretical and functional aspects of the art world. These themes have been identified based on observing and recording of artistic phenomena - through the recording, the critics, the direct Observation. This description shows the emerging of new paradigms such as Financial, Social, Economic, Technological, Cultural and Information technology. There are some aspects of tradition and new elements which lead to a reverse direction with respect to their goals.
