Course Description Forces and their condition of equilibrium. Static of the material point and of the rigid body. Static of restrained bodies, reaction forces and friction, ideal links. Equilibrium of multibodies, isostatic structures and mechanisms, equations of equilibrium and evaluation of reaction forces. Kinematics of material point and of a rigid body, position and velocities of points, principle of virtual works and virtual power. Diagrams of internal forces and stress due to axial action and bending moment. Motors and their applications, characteristic diagrams of driving moment e resisting load, steady state condition. Velocity reduction, variators and change gear. Transmission efficiency, direct and reverse motion, impeded reverse motion. Basic notion to read and produce technical drawings of mechanical components (ortographic proiections, sections and drafting dimensioning ). Introduction to 3D CAD tools.
