Course Description The course "Management of Energy & Sustainability" aims at providing skills and tools needed for analyzing, understanding and assessing strategic decisions about energy and sustainability in global firms. The course will start by creating a global framework of the energy sources and uses and of the strategic role of energy & sustainability for firms. Then, it will focus on the understanding of market and industry dynamics related to "traditional" sources (electricity from hydrocarbons and oil&gas), as well as renewable sources. Energy efficiency and the emerging paradigms of energy communities, smart cities and smart grids will be further investigated. The role of technological innovation and of the regulatory framework in the above mentioned industries will be assessed providing students with a comprehensive view of the phenomena.
