Course Description The course aims at providing fundamentals about methods and techniques to model and simulate in virtual environments objects and humans, focusing on phenomena such as motion, deformation and field effects. Course includes fundamentals on multibody techniques, on FE approaches to simulate stress and strains in elastic and hyperelastic continuous, vibrations of objects and systems, heat transmission, fluid motion and virtual humans. Topics on particle based modeling techniques are also presented. Focus is on skill to develop applications; basics on theory are integrated by numerous examples of models and simulations presented by tutors and also developed directly by student.
