Course Description The history of scents inside the space, it is a tale about air and moisture, solid wood and laminates, past and future anterior, repulsions and attractions of real entities, the anosmias of virtual places, anxieties, fears, ecstasies and memories. The scents have their related places of death, sex, food, industry, sickness, divinity, nature, ultramatter, the daily things and the extraordinary ones, the immanent and evanescent ones. The invisible design allowed by the sense of smell is not left exclusively to perfume makers, but it is part also of designers, anthropologists, sociologists, psychologists, mere mortals who spend their days surrounded by invasive and even more exciting scents. The Scent Design course will try to investigate the olfactory territories of places, objects, materials to find new scenarios and languages of one of the most exciting and unexplored fields of design of all time.
