Course Description In the course of their actions humans use a wide variety of information. Each sense gives to the actor a certain mode of social relationship with their environment (sight, touch, hearing, smell, taste). In this respect, every culture and social group has developed and organized certain types, logics, and strategies to manage this variety of information channels. The course aims to introduce students to analyze the diversity of forms and social organizations that different human societies have developed to structure their communications. Therefore, the course will deal with topics such as social media, the link among senses, action and information, the link between social habitat and styles of communicative interaction, the variety of cultural forms, practices and informative support. Moreover, the lessons provide alternatively, theoretical moments and laboratory activities.
