Course Description The course is focused on the evolution of the air transport system and starting from an historical description of the rules governing Air Transport and illustrating deregulation and air safety/security evolution tries to analyze the present trends in Airlines organization, Airports development and Air Transport Rules evolution The course will then describe traffic models (hub & spoke, low cost carriers, ecc) and ATC development. The analysis of procedures and mechanisms that regulate the flight, problems related to aircraft maintenance, and aircraft fleets management are also essential to understand the peculiar aspects of air transport. Environmental problems, flight safety and Air Transport Logistic are analyzed in a global framework taking in account the quick development of Air Travel also in the "so called" third world countries.
