Introduction to the analysis of random data and reactor noise. Stochastic fluctuations. Application of the Monte Carlo method for the stochastic simulation of neutron and photon transport. Principles and methods for the analysis and modelling of radioactive contaminant transport through artificial and natural porous media, soil, groundwater and in the atmosphere. Laboratory experiments. Deterministic and stochastic models.
