Course Description Aims: The course enables the students to apply the management techniques necessary for planning and control of large projects in the engineering & contracting sector. 1. Project and project management. Operational, managerial, organizational processes. International standards 2. Project life cycle: feasibility, competitive bidding, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation & maintenance, dismissal 3. Scope management, time management, cost management, resource management, quality management, cash flow management, risk management 4. Quantitative methods for project uncertainty analysis and management 5. Contract management 6. Organizational aspects and project team 7. Project finance 8. Project portfolio management Teaching methodology Lectures and case studies: 60%; practical exercises: 40% The students divided into small groups will develop the execution plan of a project, based on techniques and tools presented during the course.
