Course Description To complete the educational track in Bio-Medical Informatics and e-Health, the course introduces several major informatics tools, some of them pushed by the needs existing in the clinical and healthcare arena. The course continues presenting case-studies of major infrastructures and services, such as networking of hospital and of stakeholders as well; the services for centralized booking and the tracking of drugs; the knowledge managements; the biometrics for access management; the telemedicine mainly for home-care and the e-health for the family environment. So the course shows up a comprehensive scenario of major e-health applications, each of them tuned to the specific user profile: the patient, the caregiver, the institutional administrator, the healthcare governance, sensitive to their own evaluation priorities.
