Course Description The Temporary Retail course, or space for indoor and outdoor temporary trade, moves from the recent history of a new type of retail trade, which has its origin in ancient times, where the peddler is identified as the precursor of this new and rising type of retail. The course aims to create a case-history of this phenomenon, as expression of a new marketing that, paying attention to cultural phenomena and new sale techniques, wants to express a more versatile skill to transformation of the most classic type of temporary retail, from the market stall, the pop-up to the temporary shop. This course starts from the analytical point of view of the phenomenon and the different types of artefact, from city streets to the latest Mall of shopping centres, whether they are placed in shopping centres, airports or stations, where this activity finds a great interest. The different components of its brand identity are also analysed, such as communication graphics, visual and merchandising mix, web design, focusing the creative-design efforts on the design of interior design of the artefact, space planning, legislation, construction techniques and the finishing materials, combining environmental sustainability and local culture.
