Course Description The course in Project evaluation focuses on appraisal and valuation. Appraisal deals with theories and methodologies for expressing an opinion of value about properties, business and plants, cost and rate of return forecasting. Valuation focuses on economic and financial feasibility analysis of investments, projects and plans at different scales. Furthermore, it investigates their market and not-market effects on natural and territorial resources by the use of monetary and not monetary evaluation approaches with reference to a broad taxonomy of values. More in deep, students will be addressed to the main methodological applications of the Appraisal principles: analysis of the economic factors employed in the construction process, real estate market survey, opinion of value definition through national and international approaches.
