Course Title APPLIED HYDRAULIC AND HYDROGEOLOGY
Course Type Integrated Course
Credits (CFU / ECTS) 10.0
Semester Second Semester
Course Description The integrated course is divided into two modules, which will be developed in parallel. The Applied Hydraulic modulus regards first of all the 1D analysis of free surface flow, the evaluation of the related solid transport and the possible triggering of iperconcentrated flows. Then, the analysis will be extended to 2D flows, with propagation models and alluvial hazard assessment. The Hydrogeology modulus first develops methods for hydrogeological hazard assessment with reference to both landslides, fluvial dynamic and engineering works design. The course also regards groundwater resources management, with particular reference to the hydrogeological modelling both in porous and fractured media.
