Course Description The course deals with the 3D modeling and mapping by using photogrammetric techniques. Particular attention is devoted to the processing of digital images acquired by drones. At the beginning of the course, the analytical fundamentals of photogrammetry for the sensor orientation and for the object 3D reconstruction will be given. Then, digital images will be introduced together with algorithms for image enhancement and matching. Finally, the products of photogrammetry, such as orthophotos, DTM/DSM, 3D models, and their productive processes will be illustrated. The sensors for data acquisition will be discussed too. Companion laboratory activities will integrate other classes.
