Course Description The course provides theoretical and practical skills about the most recent methodologies for systematic innovation of product and processes and inventive problem solving techniques. More in details, it covers a range of techniques and tools supporting technical creativity, starting from psychological methods, their potentialities and limitations. Then, the TRIZ theory is presented in details, with practical examples to be run both individually and as teamwork. As a comple-mentary toolkit, the course will introduce also fundamentals about Biomimetics and techniques for sustainable innovation. Eventually, emerging Computer-Aided Innovation (CAI) systems will be presented, with details about their main features and integration opportunities with other PLM systems.
