Course Description The course is focused on the nuclear power plant dynamics, with reference to the different reactor types. The main topics covered during the course are the following: nuclear reactor kinetics and dynamics, core neutronics and thermo-hydraulics coupling, reactivity feedbacks and reactivity coefficients, reactor stability - instability mechanisms, power conversion systems and thermodynamic cycles of nuclear power plants, modelling and behaviour of nuclear power plants components.
