Course Description Polymeric Materials Recall of the general properties of amorphous and semicrystalline polymers. Optical properties. Electrical properties. Durability of polymeric materials. Main families of polymers of industrial interest: classification, characteristics and applications. Cellular polymers. Effect of processing on the properties of polymeric materials. Processing and Properties of Composite Materials The course aims at introducing the basic concepts required for understanding structure-property relationships of composite materials for structural applications. The main manufacturing technologies from the point of view of production constraints and the effects on the structure of materials are also examined.
