Course Description The course aims to provide students with the appropriate tools to understand, describe and investigate the types and problems related to the design and fabrication of structures (scaffolds) suitable for replacing and regenerating tissues of the human body in the Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering field, mainly concerning polymeric materials (natural and synthetic, smart hydrogels, biomimetic materials), traditional manufacturing techniques and additive manufacturing approaches, drug and cell delivery systems (injectable systems, microspheres). The course also intends to stimulate students to solve problems in the field of regenerative medicine by the analysis of case studies and examples.
