Course Title DIGITAL INNOVATION LAB
Course Type Mono-Disciplinary Course
Credits (CFU / ECTS) 5.0
Semester Second Semester
Course Description The Digital Innovation Lab aims at putting students in touch with innovation techniques and strategies for addressing real-world problems, so as to open their minds towards facing hot and unsolved issues. The course develops across three activities: group-work on a business case provided by the teacher, in-class interactive activities, and traditional teaching sessions. The business case is the core of the course, where students will work on an innovation idea from the field study to its conception and design. The business case can be the conceptualisation of a new product, the definition and assessment of a new service, or the solution of an organizational problem. The course is a training path organized in two main parts: the first part covers user-centered design, design thinking and innovation fostering approaches; the second part covers data-driven innovation, big data and data analysis as technical tools for fostering innovation
