Course Description The course provides knowledge on the methods for the validation of products based on the integration of haptic devices into virtual prototype. Specifically, the course aims to provide the foundations of the sense of touch and of haptic systems, used in the applications for product simulation and virtual prototyping, which allow users to interact physically with virtual objects by sensing contact and force feedback. The course also includes activities performed in the laboratory that will be carried out individually or in groups, using state of the art technologies for virtual prototyping.
