Course Description The course wants to ensure a knowledge of objects related to decorative art, as harbingers of industrial design. The aim is to define the historical development of this discipline providing theoretical and applied knowledge related to the different types of products, their aesthetics and their specific materials, thanks to the collaboration with professionals and specialized technicians of this field. The nineteenth-century ""Renaissance"" of the decorative arts will also be studied in detail in relation to the strategies of promotion, communication, exhibition and marketing with the aim of showing their continuity and actual role.
