Course Description The course presents the fundamental concepts of the behavior of electromagnetic fields at the base of the functioning of the main ICT applications. The physical laws regulating electromagnetic fields in invariant (static) regime and showing possible applications are described. Introduce and comment on Maxwell's equations describing electromagnetic interactions in a variant time regime on a non-microscopic scale. Examples of application of the theoretical laws to the study of electromagnetic wave transmission in free and guided space are presented, with particular attention to the most important applications in the ICT field. The teaching introduces to a good level of mathematical formalism that facilitates a complete study of electromagnetic fields and their applications.
