Course Description The goal of this course is to teach students the fundamentals of localization, navigation and communication systems for smart mobility. The first part of the course aims at providing a basic understanding of methodologies and technologies for wireless positioning, including satellite navigation systems and localization based on cellular or short-range networks. The second part discusses location-based services and technologies for smart mobility, focusing on communication systems for road safety and traffic efficiency, traffic monitoring and analytics, vehicular networks and cooperative intelligent transportation systems.
