Course Description The course provides the fundamentals on: MMSE estimation: linear equalization, decision feedback equalization, filtering of a sinusoid plus noise. Adaptive MMSE: adaptive equalization, adaptive predistortion. Synchronization: PLL, timing and carrier synchronization. MIMO systems. The course includes a part of innovative teaching guided by the teacher and by industry researchers. The teacher and the industry researchers will introduce one or two topics, giving material about them and asking to the students of reporting during classes about the topics. After, students will be divided in small groups, each group will develop a small Simulink/Matlab project. Students could optionally report about the project at the exam.
