Course Title SATELLITE AND TERRESTRIAL RADIO SYSTEMS
Course Type Mono-Disciplinary Course
Credits (CFU / ECTS) 10.0
Semester Second Semester
Course Description The aim of the course is to offer a theoretical and applicative framework of the engineering aspects that underlie the functioning of a system of communication with terrestrial, satellite or spatial waves, including fundamental aspects of orbital mechanics. The student will learn to apply theories to concrete communication and diffusion systems (terrestrial and satellite radio links, connections from space probes, photographs, television and audio), even if idealized to highlight the fundamental aspects. The intent is to direct the student to examine and design the systems with an engineering vision of the problems, an overview and for this reason the lessons employ concepts and theories deriving from different introductory teachings, both in the telecommunications sector, and of basic sciences, especially physics and probability, in addition to the inevitable mathematical analysis.
