Course Description Aim of the course is to provide hardware know-how and programming skills to students keen on the design, development, and programming of electronic products based on Microcontrollers. Beside desk lessons, more than half of the course will be focused on practical hands-on activities, where each student will practice on hardware design, firmware development, and system validation of simple, though comprehensive, systems based on real microcontrollers and electronic components and integrated circuits. Each student will analyze, implement and test different case-studies employing real microcontroller board, development system, and CAD programming and simulation software. The course lasts 50 hours in total, more precisely 32 hours of lectures and 24 hours for hands-on experimental activities on hardware developmental kits.
