Course Description The goal of the course is to enable students to design experiments and analyse their results using a State of the Art Software. Moreover the students with 10 credits course will have the opportunity to apply the theoretical concepts to a physical project in which they will try to improve a manufacturing process by one or more designed experiments. The course topics are: Analysis of Variance: one way and multiple way ANOVA, random and fixed effects models. Design Of Experiments techniques: full factorial plans with blocking; two-levels plans (replicated, fractional and with blocking); nested and split plot designs, alphabetical optimal designs. Linear Regression models. RSM (Response Surface Methodology). Robust Design.
